We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Site Manager – Lifting Operations to support our Technical Manager within our crane division in the Middle East. This position is ideal for a candidate who wants to further develop his or her career in lifting operations, crane technology, and technical fleet support.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
- Support the Technical Manager in the day-to-day coordination of crane operations and technical activities.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing lifting plans, rigging layouts, and crane selections for projects.
- Coordinate crane inspections, certifications, and maintenance activities to ensure the fleet’s operational readiness.
- Monitor the condition and performance of lifting equipment and report technical issues.
- Provide support in resolving and following up on mechanical and operational issues in collaboration with the technical teams.
- Conduct site visits to verify lifting requirements and support project execution.
- Ensuring that lifting operations are carried out in accordance with company procedures, UAE regulations, and international standards.
- Assisting with the planning and coordination of large-scale mobilizations and demobilizations.
- Identifying opportunities for operational improvements and increased equipment utilization.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure that QHSE requirements are consistently met.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- LEEA certification or other certifications related to lifting operations are considered a plus.
- Good knowledge of crane operations, lifting equipment, and rigging practices.
- Fluency in English and Dutch (both written and spoken).
- Ability to interpret lifting plans, load charts, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and project-driven environment.
- Willingness to travel to project sites within the UAE and the Middle East as needed.
