KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and manage a team of local mechanics to ensure optimal performance and maintenance of heavy machinery.
• Conduct inspections and ensure the equipment is maintained according to company standards and safety guidelines.
• Provide preventive maintenance and execute repairs for various heavy earth-moving machines.
• Act as the liaison between the back office (procurement, administration, logistics) and the team of mechanics on site.
• Prepare reports on equipment status, workshop performance, and operational challenges.
• Develop and implement efficient work schedules and ensure the team operates effectively.
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Constant travel to visit and inspect workshops within GCC or other project sites.
• Report directly to the Workshop Manager regarding progress, challenges, and team performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of secondary education in mechanics (automotive or similar field) or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a mechanic, with preference given to experience with heavy machinery and earth-moving equipment.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to work with Microsoft Dynamic D365 or any workshop software.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and punctuality.
• Flexibility and ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to manage and oversee teams, ensuring effective workflow and productivity.
• Willingness to relocate and work abroad for an extended period.
• Previous experience on a large international project or the same industry is highly preferred.
