WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Main responsibilities:

  • Communication: Liaise with suppliers, and internal teams to provide updates on order status, resolve issues, and address inquiries.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and related documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Cost Control: Monitor transportation costs, negotiate freight rates, and seek cost-effective solutions to reduce logistics expenses. Create purchase orders and follow-up of back-charges.
  • Global Logistics: Manage international logistics operations, including customs compliance, cross-border shipping, documentation, and international trade regulations.
  • Reporting: Generate and analyze logistics-related reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Problem Solving: Address logistics challenges such as delays, shortages, and discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all relevant regulations, including customs, import/export requirements, and safety standards.

Secondary responsibilities:

  • Cost Analysis: Collaborate on cost analysis projects to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend cost-effective logistics solutions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on changes in logistics regulations and compliance requirements and ensure adherence.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with other departments to align logistics activities.
